1. Who we are

2. Using Mizan
By downloading or using Mizan you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country, to use Mizan.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer or misuse the app or its content, except where the law allows it.
3. Apple and Google
On iPhone, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies in addition to these terms; where they conflict, Apple’s EULA prevails for iOS. Apple is not responsible for the app or its support. On Android, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply.
4. Subscriptions and purchases
- Mizan is free to use. Mizan Premium is offered as a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription and a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the app before you buy and may vary by country.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price and for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
- Free trial: where a free trial is offered (for example 7 days on the yearly plan), it converts into a paid subscription unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. This does not affect any rights you have under consumer law.
- Use Restore purchases in the app to recover Premium on a new device signed in to the same store account.
5. Religious content
Mizan contains the Qur’an, translations, recitations, adhkar, duas, hadith and short lessons, with their sources. We take great care with this content, and it is being reviewed by qualified scholars. However, Mizan is an aid to worship and good habits. It is not a fatwa and does not replace the guidance of qualified scholars. Prayer times are calculated and may differ from your local mosque; please check them against a trusted local source.
6. Blocking and your device
Mizan relies on Apple’s Screen Time frameworks and on Android’s accessibility service. These are controlled by the operating system and may change or stop working; we cannot guarantee that apps will always be rested. Do not rely on Mizan for safety-critical needs. Emergency calls and essential phone functions are never blocked by Mizan.
7. Content and intellectual property
The app, its design, text and images belong to Mizan or its licensors. Recitations are credited to their reciters and used with permission of their rights holders (see audio credits). The Qur’an text and translations are credited in the app.
8. Availability and changes
We may update, change or discontinue features. We will try to give notice of significant changes in the app. We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version, and continued use after a change means you accept it.
9. Limitation of liability
Mizan is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for Mizan in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of [Country, e.g. Belgium], and the courts of [City] have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer protection you have in your country of residence.
